Hospital Companion (Royal United Hospital - Hours to Suit)

We are planning to recruit our next cohort of volunteers in January 2025.

Are you a good listener? Do you have a few hours a week free?

Can you stay present with someone who is at the end of their life?

We sit with patients with limited or no support at the end of their life at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.

If you can spare 3-4 hours of time to join our award winning Compassionate Companions team. This is a partnership between Dorothy House and the Royal United Hospital Bath Palliative care team.

Full training and support will be given. Our next training sessions will take place at Winsley on 4th and 18th November, you will need to be available to attend this training.

Applications are welcomed from all sections of the community
